After making its debut in the last edition as the stage finish city host for a stage of the Volta a Catalunya, Viladecans will repeat the experience to host, in this case, a stage start. The Viladecans The Style Outlets centre will receive the spectacular convoy of a UCI World Tour event such as the Volta and will be the centre of the world sporting spotlight with the arrival of the best cycling teams in the world at its facilities. The young Frenchman Axel Laurance, who was the U23 world champion, won the stage last March in a final sprint in the Avinguda de la Generalitat in the city of Baix Llobregat, after passing in front of the outlet's facilities, which this year will be the starting point of the first uphill finish of the 104th edition of the Volta, which will finish in La Molina.
