Vera will dress the best young cyclist of the Volta 2024

The Catalan telecommunications company becomes part of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya as main sponsor. Vera will reward the best cyclist of 23 years or less participating in the race, with a specific jersey for this category, the so-called jersey for the best young rider of the Volta.
The telecommunications company has reached a sponsorship agreement with the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. Vera will thus provide the jersey that will distinguish the best cyclist 23 years old or younger, in the classification for the best young cyclist of the Volta 2024. The jersey that characterizes this classification, white with orange stripes, will be common throughout the seven days of the race along with the rest of the existing classifications and jerseys.
The precocity of the athletes in the elite of world cycling has seen how on two occasions the best young rider, has also been the final leader of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. This has been the case of the Colombians Sergio Higuita, in 2022 and Miguel Ángel López, in 2019. In the last edition of the Volta, this award went to the reigning world time trial champion, Remco Evenepoel. The Belgian achieved a second place in the overall classification, behind Primoz Roglic, in addition to taking the leadership of the best young rider, at 23 years old. Other internationally renowned cyclists previously awarded were Portugal's Joao Almeida in 2021, Frenchman Pierre.

The next edition of the Volta a Catalunya will celebrate its 103rd edition between March 18 and 24. A race that begins the countdown in an edition in which they have already confirmed their participation, prestigious cyclists such as Tadeg Pogacar (winner of the Tour de France 2020 and 2021), Geraint Thomas (winner of the Tour de France 2018 and 2nd in the Giro d'Italia 2023), the Colombian Nairo Quintana (winner of the Volta 2016) and Mikel Landa (3rd in the Giro d'Italia 2022).
