The Volta a Catalunya will feature the world's best teams for its 104th edition

 24 teams will take part in the 2025 edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, which between the 24th and 30th of March will once again bring together the biggest stars of world cycling on the Catalan roads. Burgos Burpellet BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Equipo Kern Pharma and Euskaltel-Euskadi are the invited teams for this edition, joining the 18 UCI WorldTeam teams, the best teams in the world, and the two UCI ProTeams that have their presence assured by their position in the ranking, thus closing a participation that will form a peloton of 168 cyclists.

Thus, the organizers of the Volta a Catalunya can now confirm the list of twenty-four teams that will take part in the 2025 edition of the race, which continues to consolidate its position among the world elite in the UCI WorldTour calendar, of which it is the third oldest stage race after the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia.

Therefore, as usual, the 18 teams that are part of the world's top division, the UCI WorldTeams, will take the start of the Catalan race, which has had Slovenian stars Tadej Pogačar and Primož Roglič as winners the last two years. The best teams in the world participate in all the races that make up this select calendar of races, of which the Catalan race has been a part since its formation. Alpecin-Deceuninck, Arkéa-B&B Hoteles, Bahrein Victorious, Cofidis, Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ, Ineos Granaderos, Intermarché-Wanty, Lidl-Trek, Movistar Team, an Red Bull-Bora- has already secured the participation of former winner Primož Roglič, Soudal Quick-Step, Team Jayco AlUla, Team Picnic PostNL, Team Visma | Lease a Bike of the double winner of Tour de France Jonas Vingegaard, who will be making his debut in the Catalan race this year, and the winner of the Vuelta Sepp Kuss, UAE Team Emirates and XDS Astana Team are the teams that are part of this world elite.

In addition, two UCI ProTeam teams, the second world division, also have their participation assured thanks to their position in the UCI ranking. They are Israel-Premier Tech, great protagonist in the last edition with the stage victory in Sant Feliu de Guíxols and first leadership for the Australian Nick Schultz, and the historic Belgian structure Lotto, which has also added victories in recent editions of the Volta thanks to riders like Thomas De Gendt and Andreas Kron.

To complete the list of twenty-four participating teams, the organizers of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya have confirmed their invitation to the teams Burgos Burpellet BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Equipo Kern Pharma and Euskaltel-Euskadi, which will all be taking part in the race for the fourth consecutive season.

Thus, a peloton of 168 riders is expected for the 104th edition of the Volta a Catalunya, which continues to consolidate itself among the great races of world cycling with a luxury participation year after year.
