Finisher® renews its commitment to the Volta 2025 and will once again be the official sponsor of sports nutrition and the combativity award.
January 17 th 2025 - 10:00 [GMT + 1]
The health and sports nutrition brand of the pharmaceutical laboratory Kern Pharma will be the official sponsor of the race and of the combativity award.
The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya closes, for the fifth consecutive year, an agreement with Finisher® with which the sports nutrition brand will be again official sponsor and official nutritional supplement of the race. Finisher® will provide product to all the participants of the Catalan UCI WorldTour race, as well as to the women's race of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the sports nutrition brand Finisher® will once again go hand in hand in the next edition of the race, which will be held between 24 and 30 March 2025. This agreement is being renewed for the fifth consecutive year and will allow the Kern Pharma brand to provide its products, such as energy gels and protein bars, to the participating riders. The signature control prior to the start of each of the seven stages will be one of the key points for Finisher®.
At this location, a stand will be set up where cyclists will be able to stock up on its nutritional products, thus ensuring that they can face a day of such physical magnitude with guarantees. The visibility of the brand will also be present at the start and finish areas with different supports. Finisher® will also sponsor the combativity prize, which is awarded every day after each stage to the cyclist who represents values such as effort, sacrifice, etc... As usual in recent years, it will be the followers of the official networks of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, through the popular vote from their Twitter account, who will be responsible for choosing the rider awarded with the combativity prize.
Likewise, and as it has done in recent years, Finisher® extends its agreement to the women's race of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, which will take place between 6 and 8 June 2025. A race that in 2024 made the leap to the international UCI 2.1 category, becoming a three-day stage race, where the renowned Dutch rider of Visma-Lease a Bike, Marianne Vos, a legend of women's cycling, won.
Finisher® is not only a brand of health and sports nutrition products but has been supporting the world of cycling for years, where its presence is evident through the UCI ProTeam Kern Pharma team. The team is one of the regulars in the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and in recent times has become a breeding ground for cyclists who have made the leap to UCI WorldTour teams.
Cesc de Bode, Health and Sport Manager at Kern Pharma, highlights ‘renewing our sponsorship for another year with the Volta Catalunya, the most important cycling event we have at home and one of the most important at international level, is a satisfaction, as we share many values, and we feel very comfortable working with the organisation. In addition, in this 2025 edition we will offer new Finisher products to the best cyclists in the world to help them improve their performance and recovery’.
For his part, Rubén Peris, general director of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya has remarked the commitment of the brand with the Catalan race; ‘We highly value the commitment and loyalty of Finisher® with the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, as it allows us to work together in the long term and consolidate a relationship that we have maintained for five years now. We share common elements such as the importance of healthy lifestyle habits and sporting values such as effort and sacrifice. In addition, the prestige of its energy products gives us an extra point of quality to a world-renowned race like the Volta’.
The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2025 is preparing to welcome the best riders in the world, among them the Danish double Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard, or the Slovenian four-time winner of the Vuelta, Primoz Roglic. An edition that has already unveiled three mountaintop finishes: Montserrat, where the Volta will return 30 years after its last visit, Queralt and La Molina. An incentive without a doubt, for the UCI World Tour teams that see in the Catalan race an unbeatable opportunity to make their riders shine in March.
