The reVolta women’s race confirms fifteen international teams for its 2023 edition

The 4th edition of the reVolta, the women's race of Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, will make an important jump in quality this 2023 with the participation of at least fifteen international teams. The presence of several UCI WorldTeam and UCI Continental Teams, including the two Catalan teams in the international elite, guarantee the step forward of the race, which on April 29th will debut in the UCI international calendar, in 1.1 category, maintaining Sant Cugat del Vallès as the main city host.
The countdown for a new edition of the reVolta is already underway. Next Saturday 29th April, the women's race of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will live its 4th edition in Sant Cugat del Vallès, in an edition that will mean a step forward in the quality of the participation of the race thanks to its jump to the international UCI 1.1 catgory.
Next Saturday 29th April, an international peloton of more than a hundred top-level cyclists will bring the best international women's cycling to Catalunya, thanks to the participation of fourteen teams from the UCI WorldTeam and UCI Continental Team categories, together with the Catalan national team. The 4th edition of the reVolta will have an attractive route, which will offer new challenges and more climbs, with Sant Cugat del Vallès as the venue for the finish and the start, as in the last two editions.
Two world-class teams, Movistar Team and Israel Premier Tech Roland, will be the reference of the participation of a race that could still include new teams in the coming weeks. The list of confirmed teams continues with the presence of twelve UCI Women's Continental Teams among which the two teams Catalan teams in the international peloton, Massi-Tactic and Zaaf Cycling Team, together with other teams from Spain, Slovenia, Germany, France and Norway. In addition, a Catalan national team will complete the participation, led by one of the current references of Catalan cycling, Mireia Benito, second classified behind the German Clara Koppenburg in the last edition.
Koppenburg is expected to be present defending her number 1 with the Cofidis Women's Team, among other teams with a long history in international cycling such as the Slovenian BTC City Ljubljana Scott or the Norwegian Team Coop-Hitec Products. The German Canyon/SRAM Generation will bring an international squad to the reVolta and the French Team Groupe Abadie has several Catalan cyclists in its ranks such as the reigning Catalan champion Emma Ortiz. The Spanish teams UCI Bizkaia-Durango, Cantabria Deporte-Río Miera, Eneicat-CM Team, Farto-BTC and Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi, many of which have already participated in the reVolta in previous editions, will also be present.
A world-class participation expected for the 4th edition of the reVolta, which on 29th April will bring the best international women's cycling to Sant Cugat del Vallès. After two editions held in the city, with victories by the German Clara Koppenburg (2022) and the Norwegian Katrine Aalerud (2021), the women's race of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya continues to grow and consolidate its place in the international calendar.
