The Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre will have a stage in "la Volta" 101 and 102

Tarragona (09-28-2021) .- The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the Patronat de Turisme de la Diputació de Tarragona have reached an agreement whereby the Catalan race will celebrate a stage in the Costa Daurada in its next edition , the 101, and another stage in 2023 through the territory of Terres de l'Ebre, in the 102th edition.
The best cyclists and teams in the world will discover the territory of the Tarragona demarcation to fight for stage victory. The Volta belongs to the UCI World Tour calendar, the highest category in world cycling and year after year attracts world figures such as Alejandro Valverde, Adam Yates, Richard Carapaz, Peter Sagan or Geraint Thomas, among many others.
In the 101st edition of the Volta, the Costa Daurada will have an stage starting in Salou and arriving in Cambrils, cities that have the certification of "Destinació de Turisme Esportiu". The Costa Daurada is a magnificent terrain for cycling competition. The stage will pass through regions such as Priorat, Baix Camp and Tarragonès.
In the following year, 2023, and in its 102nd edition, the Volta will make a stop in Terres de l’Ebre, where the terrain for cycling also offers excellent performance. The towns that will start and finish this stage will be announced in the near future, as well as the design of the route.
In the last edition of the Volta, the images of the international signal of the race reached 190 countries, with live television to the 5 continents in an edition that allowed the Catalan round to reach 100 editions.
The 101st edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will be held from March 21 to 27, 2022, with the presence of the best teams and riders in the world.
