Alejandro Valverde and Marc Soler, two more stars in the 100th edition of the Volta

The list of stars for the 100 edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya continues to expand. The cyclists Alejandro Valverde and Marc Soler will be two of the proper names present in the next edition, which will be held between March 23 and 29, 2020. The Movistar Team has confirmed to the organization the presence of the two riders in the race , which this year celebrates its 100th edition.
In the extensive medal winners of Alejandro Valverde, the three victories achieved in the Volta stand out, coinciding with the 2009, 2017 and 2018 editions. At 39, the spanish rider and world champion in 2019 remains a benchmark for international cycling.
The Catalan Marc Soler, meanwhile, took the third pace of the podium in the 2017 edition, in addition to leading the ranking of young riders. At 26, the cyclist of Vilanova i la Geltrú will want to shine again in the "home race".
The Volta, race included in the UCI World Tour calendar, will once again have the participation of the best international riders. In addition to Valverde and Soler, during the last days the presence of Nairo Quintana, Warren Barguil and the current champion of the race, Colombian Miguel Ángel López, has also been reported.
